Orginal Post: straud13: I was in a bar and a fight broke out (surprise) i wasn't involved, but one of the guys that was was knocked down from behind and a fat guy sat on his back while the fat guy's freind tuned the dude on the grounds face with some brutal kicks. It took only a few seconds for the security to get there but the guy on the grounds eye was damaged badly. So I was thinking how to defend against that, the damaged dude was at a serious weight disadvantage and couldn't have flipped the fat guy and because hes stomach down he cant really grab at the leg to stop the kicks. Ideas?
Post: dscott:
1. Don't go to bars.
2. Be aware of your surroundings.
3. Don't be afraid to swallow your pride to avoid a fight.
4. Become the fat guy. It's much harder for some fat guy to sit on you if you, in turn, are the fat guy.
5. If you insist on going to bars, wear a football helmet. Sure you'll look a little weird and won't get girls but you'll be safe. Although it would be hard to drink through a football helmet so why would you be at a bar if you couldn't drink. This goes back to answer #1.>

OK your at your church bake sale and Billy-bobs 300lb retarded nefew thinks you've had one too many lemon bars and sneak attacks from the rear knocking you down and mounting your back. Billy bob all wound up on religeous zeal starts kicking you in the face; everyone else runs off to pray for your soul, leaving you alone with a fat guy on your back and a wannabe crusader looking to make you lose your eye. Its too late to renounce your faith and avoid the bake sale your there and your in trouble. What do you do?>

Straud, I love you just for your second post.
ALL FULL OF RELIGIOUS ZEAL!!! LAUGH MY FUCKING ASS OFF!!!!
How to defend against a surprise attack:
Don't be surprised.
Keep your eyes on the doors and keep your back to a wall so nobody can sneak up on you. Keep quiet so nobody wants to attack you and keep a constant level of suspicious alertness.>

Its stupid to tell you not to go to bars. Just because you practice an art and some kind of self discipline does not mean you should stop living. As for defending agaist this attack its tough to say. In the moment you need to do what you gotta do, nothing less nothing more. Its hard to give you a clear answer but fight on and cease any opportunity you get.>
