Orginal Post: holyTC: I go to the University of Georgia. It's currently offering a boxing 101 course taught by "Romallis Ellis Jr.". Unfortunately , our school has no boxing club. So it's 3 months, once a week, for 70 bucks. Does anyone think it would be good to take this, or a faulty investment due to the lack of practice and use with peers after the class is over?

I did a 6 month course similar to what you have described. I'm no boxer by ANY means WHATSOEVER , but I do have a much better understanding of the boxers' "game".
It was worth it to me.

It's only $70 for 12 classes. That's less than $6 per class. It's worth it to learn the basics of boxing.>

the price is great and you will learn a lot. Do it.>

definitely sounds like a good deal. if you really like it, you can always continue. there are plenty of boxing gyms around that welcome all, beginner and pro alike>
