hit the bag, often. best way to improve your punch/power. Also make sure you have good form.

T-bar rows, lots of deltoid work, wide-grip bench, tricep work, and ab work as well cause alot of people twist a bit when they punch, depending on what you train I guess would dictate how you'd work everything and makaras (sic) for improving your knuckles, mine's comin along fine thanks to 8limbs.>

observing your own form in a full length mirror and breaking it down into segments V-E-R-Y slowly is the best thing I found. Then you go and work on pads or bag and feel the adjustments and make improvents through fine tuning your body mechanics. For me this is the best way alongside your regular conditioning and exercise regime.>

workout your shoulders for more ressistance when keeping tour hands up. For more punching power use the punching bag the heavier the better. It is *extremly* important to keep a good form and technique when throwing the punches, start by slow combinations but with good execution, as you progress start by doing it faster and harder. Remember before attempting this learn how to throw correctly each punch. Shadowboxing will give you the edge to start. Study boxing tapes from heavy punchers(Tyson,Liston,Frazier if you're into boxing) and pay special attention to their pivot movement, hip power and momentum to make combinations. I found in the net Jack Dempsey's manual that provides very good description of punches and some tricks to get some torque out of each blow, you may try searching for it in google or something. Protect your hands before hitting the bag unless you want huge callouses in your knuckles or wrist problems later on. Hope that helps...>

I like to do wrist curls to build up all my forearm muscles. this helps keep your wrists from bending when you hit something hard.>

That happened to me today. I was boxing with a friend and bent my wrist a little too far. That ended up hurting more than anything he dished out against me.>

That proves you need to stop, slow down and work at a comfortable level on bag and pads. It should be very soon that you will feel an improvement if you work on it regularly without going over the top and injuring yourself...Oh yeah dont put any stress on the wrists if you are injured from the collapse.>
