Orginal Post: prodigy: As u can see i'm a noob. I wanted to no if ther is any different boxing styles or stances. I've just started boxing and my trainer said im one of the very few hard punchers he met, only prob is.......im a little too heavy. He said I have a real potential to become a good boxer and i thought he just bullshitin with me. I would like to see some different styles or unqiue stances.

Well my friend welcome to the boxing section of the site, if you look around the boxing Q&A, badboy's boxing strategies post and a few articles ive written im sure you will learn quite a bit on the sweet science, we cover many aspects in the Q&A thread, from beginner to advance, if you have a look around im sure you'll get some info on what your looking for, if i remember correctly (i might be wrong, i blame the headshots) i think i wrote an article on this very subject, maybe 2 or 3 just outlining various stances, styles of boxers ect, hope you find what you need, if there is anything specific you want to ask, ask it in the Q&A.
Hope it helps
