Finding a good teacher is very difficult. It took me more than three months of searching to find my Kung Fu school back home. The best advice I can give is not to get discouraged, just keep looking.
Google.com is a good resource to start with. However not all schools have websites. You could try to contact notable schools and masters through the web. Liang Shouyu and Dr. Yang Jing Ming have websites with contact information. IÂ’m sure if you e-mailed or called them you could get a recommendation for a school/master in your area.
Liang ShouyuÂ’s Website: http://www.shouyuliang.com/index.shtml
Dr. YangÂ’s Website: http://school.ymaa.com/
Also, Li Juan Bai, Bo Ou, Robert Poyton, Raymond Smith, Anthony Swanson, Peter Warr, Peter Young, and Liming Yue all teach or taught in the UK. I cannot give any recommendation on anyone of them over the other. Honestly all I know about them is that Liang Shouyu has enough respect for them to list them as recommended teachers.
Good luck to you. [/url >

Teacher of what and where exactly? The UK is made up of many islands and adjoining lands you do know that right?>

What have you actually done to find one? In my experience, the standard of MA teaching in the UK is some of the best in the world, particularly when it comes to real-life application.>

That is true, if someone doesn't have the primary dedication to LOOK for a school and do some research, then what makes them think they will have the dedication to actually train :?:>

I suspect he was hoping for a recommendation towards a particular club. It can be very disappointing to join a club & find it's not all you expected it to be. However it would be even more disappointing if anyone stayed with a club they didn't like. The only recommendation I would make to him is to echo what everyone else has said, get out there & find one you like.>
