Orginal Post: bamboo: An experiment really...
I just wanted to see if we started another SD thread if the mighty defenders of the style would come out of the woodwork as they did in the "good ol' days".
Any comments from our new Gong Fu men on these prolific keepers of martial wisdom?

Okay, Banya!!!
I'm a little lost on the topic of SD... What are you guys referring to?
Giddy-up!!>
Post: BLACK PANTA:
Shaolin DO man......if the name doesn't say BS then this will. It's a "kung fu" school, that fastfowards it's coreographed sparring sessions, so they look like they are in the matrix, they wear Japanese gi's to train and Japanese belt ranking system. And to top it off one of thier instructors has a 1973 Mullet with a tie dye gi.>

They are great, fantastic, I like the most pictures of Shaolin Do Masters? unfortunately, terrible thing happened. They moved photos of all black belts under 5th dan, so many great freaks are gone now.
Also there are many other great things on the web page. I always find something new. For example what I find today? Schools/Courtesies/The Uniform or Gi; rule number 4 says: The right flap of the GI jacket goes on top. The belt knot should open to the right. Belt strips should be on the left side. Now on the clowns photos some guys have left flap of the gi on the top, like for example Eric Smith (7th dan), John Price (6th dan), Tim Nance (6th dan), Jeff Rose (6th dan), Joe Schaefer (6th dan)
Also its weird to hear Your Karate uniform is called a "GI'". In Shaolin school.
Here is the web site

My kung fu bro,Joel Rodriguez, has a large one in Atlanta. I met one of their "masters" in Orlando. First, the suffix "do" is not Chinese and never was. Their website is hilarious. I have studied Northern Shaolin for 15 years besides my Ying Jow, White Crane, and Yang taiji, and that is not it!!! And, like Black Panta says, the karate gis and other indices of Japanese arts are a true reflection of their legitamacy. Besides, true Shaolin do not need their forms on fast forward, they are already able to do it without tricks. It is called hard work!!!>
Post: Bloodybirds:
One clarification....my bro's Ying Jow and Wu tai chi school is near one of those schools. not that he has a large one (my bro for 23 years but some things still do not know and do not want to know....laughing!!!!)>

It's also a school founded by Wookies. See for yourself. Check out the Masters section.

Wow, I trolled my favourite site...I kinda feel bad.>
From shaolin-do.com:
Quote: "If your primary interest is tournament skills, I advise you to seek your training elsewhere! Most of what you will learn here is too lethal for tournament use. I teach the ancient system of Shaolin Do, 'Art of survival, not of sport.'
As did the immortals, we should learn to destroy so that we may preserve! It is a way of truth. The knowledge that I offer you is not an athletic training; it is a sacred trust."
Too lethal? Immortals? ...losers.>

Well Matt just makes fun of these guys, one day when they enter in your dojo you would start crying "it wasnt me, it was setsu who post against you"?
  >
setsu nin to, I'm not a cocky prick and I respect "most" people. But I invite the day that someone comes into one of the places I train at and says his techniques are too lethal for me.>
Post: WushuPadawan001:
I checked out their website.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
lol>
Post: Bloodybirds:
My techniques from my three teachers over the years have become almost too lethal for me....but no sense beating myself up over it....laughing!! I have seen Shaolin do in person when I have visited my Ying Jow bro in Atlanta.....good presentation at least. But the Japanese gis and belts always threw me. Every style has its great points and lethal items, including dim mak, da mak, etc. but again it is the person who makes it work.>
Post: setsu nin to:
Matt it was joke, but I really believe that their techniques are lethal, you die from laughing when you see their techniques...>
Post: asag2:
I have been gone for awhile but I see you guys have still not eased up on the Shaolin DO people.
.....Good Work.....>
