So why cant you get commentary in your scrapbook? If you update your scrapbook thread we all see it bump to top. I cant tell you where to post and what to do but I personally find these one liners with a link a bit annoying. Not because of the links themselves but because there is nothing to ignite discussion. You dont even bother to include your own thoughts and analysis.
I thought the deal was if you are posting a link with a one liner then it goes in the scrapbook? I havent read the article but Romanian street thug weaponry is hardly an interesting subject is it? What can we gain from analyzing the coshs, chains and swords they use to bash people with? Maybe some might find the items exciting but I find them boring and primitive.

...Its not surprising to me how many larger weapons are used because thugs across europe dont mess about with little flick knives and soft shite. English society has a lower tolerance to extreme violence than the continent but even here its common knowledge that most scum carry their most effective weapons at all times because they are always getting into confrontations with other scum. Swords, cutlasses and coshs have been going round for centuries. Nowadays scum prefer cheap guns. If you find yourself a target in Europe dont expect to just get a bump on the head or a bit of a kicking. Poor and desoerate people do not give a damn about your life or consequences. This isnt a movie FFS!>

Zeff, your being a cry baby. as we say in the Army, pull your head out of your four points of contact and stop the baby crying because he posted an article. is this not a "forum" where we can all share information. You are right, this is forum where we can share information, but useful information not crap!!! So dont worry, zefff is great guy. Vladimir posted many links to other articles, books? quality of these material is doubtful by some members including me, so we opened special thread just for his stuff.
BTW, I was more than once in Romania and I never, but never heard that anyone used any of these weapons (on that photo there on the site) in street fight. If some psycho used once some of these weapons it doesnt mean that these weapons are used in street fights in Romania. Weapons used in street fights in Romania are not different than weapons used in street fights in US, England, France, Canada, Brazil? This article is 100% crap.>

Yes the quality of what I post is "doubtful?, :roll: why don't you actually read what it's in the articles rather than criticizing them. Maybe you could even learn a few things from them. Whatever martial art you take isn't all-knowing, all-seeing, consider techniques from other martial arts. Sure, its harder to learn things from text but that doesn't mean you can't try.

Good for you, I?ve lived in the United States for nearly 18 years but never heard about someone using a switchblade but that doesn?t mean that people don?t use them.

I dont care whether you think these articles are crap. Your missing the point, again, to share information and refute it if you dont agree with it. Now about article? This article is in my opinion 100% crap and not 95% crap because its main point is wrong. It gives wrong image on reality, wrong image about Romania. Romania is not place where people use swords in street fights!!! Article that you post is big insult for Romania and every Romanian citizen. They are not some historical barbarians that come with time machine in 21st century.
BTW, I just tell you my opinion about your articles and books. Even that I want to and I dont what, I cant forbid you to post anything, not to you or to anyone else here. Thats why your links to articles and books wasnt removed from forum, just put on one place.

I see your point and can understand where you are coming from. Maybe I was hard on you but I guess I felt that if you had gone to all the trouble of digging up and then reading all those articles, then you must have opinions and some insight regarding the contents. I was just frustrated at your lack of feedback I suppose. I can read anything and draw my conclusions but what I always find most interesting is other perspectives. I am sorry I was unfair with you but I dont watch most vids...however I do click on your links and I DID read the article linked at the top of this thread.

zefff has three 'f's BTW but thats besides the point. You are crying like a baby over me being a cry baby so whats up with that? My gripe was over the fact that no information was being shared from the threads author while he expected information to flow freely in his direction. Thats not how a 'forum' works. IMHO if Vladmir only posts the links then all viewers will ever do is read, form conclusions and then maybe post "great/crap article one line responses" as a reply at best. If viewers are confronted with another perspective they will be forced to question their own beliefs. This is the bit I like and have been crying for.

Vlad - sorry, but I've got to agree with zefff and setsu on this one... Some of the stuff you sometimes post on here is doubtful. Have you ever seen the movie "Good Morning Vietnam" with Robin Williams? You remind of the guy who thinks that the troops would rather hear Polka music over Rock 'n Roll. Seriously, do you think the majority of people in this forum really give a shit about what some pissant in a third world country is using to hunt turtles with??? That's basically how some of your links come across. I'm not saying that you can't post anything on here. It just seems like you have a constant uphill battle with other forum members whenever you try and put your random interests on here. If someone has gone to all the trouble of creating a scrapbook just for you and your links to random stuff, then use it! Save yourself the hassle of being slammed for posting stuff that you seem to find interesting. If you don't use it, then you're only asking for people to slam on you and it's your own fault. I just hate to see you post something that you find interesting only to be crapped on later for having done so. Don't take this as a slam, just take it with a grain of salt as constructive criticism. I will be one of the first ones to say that I have enjoyed having you here in the forums.
Mktexan - have you checked out this link? Did you read everything the link had? Did the information that Vlad wanted to share made you a smarter and more informed individual? Are you know going to go out with all your buddies and discuss in depth the use of street weapons from Romania? How has this information enriched your life? It hasn't done shit for mine. It could basically be used to further one's knowledge of becoming an encyclopedia of useless information. It's like me posting that a female pig can have an orgasm for up to 30 minutes or that humans can't touch there elbows with there tongues, but that everyone who hears or reads that will try. Who fucking cares? I'm not going to have a conversation with someone about something that they probably don't give a shit about. I will say that he has made some good posts that have resulted in some "interesting" discussions. But, as Setsu said, if he has a thread solely dedicated to him and his "doubtful" information links, then that's where he should post it. Otherwise, he's going to get slammed. He's welcome to post whatever he wants, wherever he wants. But, if he gets slammed for doing so, then so be it.>
