Suriyasak Thai Boxing Gym. unfortunately, they dont have a website and google hasnt been able to tell me much about them - so I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them.

I just didn't know if someone on the forum lived down there.

Orginal Post: dannymac99: Does anybody know of any good martial arts schools in the Greater Toronto Area, preferably something out towards the west end like Brampton or Mississauga? I have looked at a place called Kombat Arts in Mississauga but my concern with that is that you can't just pay for lessons you have to get a full membership at the club and it is very, very expensive. Any place where I could go for classes about 2 times per week and train? I haven't picked any martial art in particular so any type that you know of a place for I may be interested in thank you very much!

I am currently doing kick boxing, (I think Birmingham uni has one of those), but would be interested in doing any other martial arts which would involve sparring. Actually i think I'd quite like to try Ninjitsu. Plenty of gymnastics and weapons, i think would suit me well too! What do ou guys think, anyother suggestions?

Help finding a school
Original Poster: Roanoa
Forum: Recommended Schools

Orginal Post: Roanoa: Hi, I'm a freshman in college and am going to be staying in Avon, NY for the summer. I will have almost noone to hang out with, or keep me occupied, and I figured that this would be an excellent time to reinvest myself in training. I'm close enough to school so that I could continue to train when school starts again. The problem is I don't know any schools in the area. Avon is a small town half an hour from Rochester. Does anyone have any advice? Even if it takes the form of "sorry man, no schools, but here is what you can do to train without a school" that would be great, if there even is a way to do it on my own with no school. I have taken a year of Aikido and some wushu before I had to leave for college, so I'm not exactly starting from scratch. So anyways. Are there any schools? If not, what do you think I should do?
Thanks,
Chris

Orginal Post: Dirty_Irishman: Anyone in the Springdale/Fayetteville area you have to check out Warrior's Way Martial Arts Academy. An absolutely amazing school, with real world training. And the prices are more than reasonable. Don't waste your time on the so called self defense lessons at the local fitness clubs. Come out here, trust me, I learned more in a week than I did in six months at a large TKD school. Kali and Silat are taught together, Muay Thai and Jun Fan are taught together, Sayoc Kali for the real warriors, children's classes specializing in self defense as well as character building, and other training available in private lessons. Give them a try, you won't be dissappointed.

Multi-dimensional schools near college park, MD?
Original Poster: gojuguy

Orginal Post: gojuguy: Hi everyone. I just recently moved to college park, MD from northern virginia and am having quite a hard time finding a school that offers several different programs. I know of schools such as Onespirit martial arts and trident academy, which is exactly the type of school I am looking for. The only problem is now that I have relocated, those schools would be nearly impossible to get to (If you know anything about traffic around DC then you understand). I'm primarily interested in BJJ/MT/Aikido (could do without the aikido, but I just like it). So if any of you know of a school such as this (other than the yamasaki academy) it would really help me out alot. Thanks guys.
