Be sure to look at the "training with Sifu" part.

I have met this man and he seems very genuine and to know his stuff. Can anyone tell me anithing based on the website or if his lineage seems o.k.?

Its for a friend,

Thank you.

Its for a friend[/quote

Is that friend you??? Are you converting??>

Post: bamboo:

LOL!!!

Good god no! It really is for someone else, although your right, the word "friend" was used too quickly, its more of a work collegue that knows I practice MA and figures that means that I know everyone.>

Post: zefff:

as long as he has sat down and figured out why he wants to train in MA and what he wants from it, then he can judge the teaching standard for himself guaged against his intentions - be it fitness, self-image, health, release of boisterous energies, self defence or impulsive curiosity....

even if the teacher is not too hot, if he trains with him he will know when to move on. Its all good. Even the crap stuff!>

Thank you.>

I like his Chi Sau article. It kind of scares me that he doesn't have a lineage section on his page, but he does mention in the article that he's a second generation student of Moy Yat. You might want to look into his teacher (Sunny Tang). I've never heard of him (which means nothing, just stating it), so I can't tell you anything about him. Moy Yat himself was a closed door student of Yip Man, so there's no problem there, but I do believe that he's certified a very large number of teachers.>

Post: zaius:

hey guys,

sunny tang is a student of moy yat. i wouldn't think this would be a mcdojo personally. your 'friend' should be fine.>
