Orginal Post: kranker66: -I imagine that most everyone here has used a medicine ball at some point...I used a 15 lb. er, in class awhile back and really enjoyed it...

-...so I bought a 10 lb. med ball for myself. The medicine ball is easier to maneuver and your able to do a varity of excersices that can't be done with traditional weights like throwing and catching.
And it's also great for sit-ups. The medicine ball should be added to people's workouts if it's not already...it's a simple and effective training tool- two big thumbs up for the medicine ball.

Cheers :D

Post: zefff:

what do you think of these new hard plastic ones? Dunno if anyones seen em but they are heavy like a leather on but have no give.

Also, anyone got any exercises?>

Post: kranker66:

-The one I picked up 'zefff', is made by Valero it's about the size of a basketball and it's rubberized on the outside so it does give and it's easy to hold onto...have not seen the hard plastic med. ball, but I sure like the one I got.

- Excercises for the medicine ball?...
I made some stuff up. This what I have tried out so far...
~ lay on your back and throw the med. ball in the air, like volleyball.

~press your back against the wall, and hold the med. ball on either side- lift the ball til it touches the wall above your head, then bring it down til it reaches your thighs and repeat.

~a twisting motion where you hold the ball out in front with elbows slightly bent and twist from side to side.

-The great thing I found about the medicine ball it is that anything you do is O.K. becasue your carrying the weight, pushing weight or lifting the weight- just becarful not to pull anything.

Cheers>

I do that, and when the ball goes to the side I let go, so that it flies into the wall. Than it returns to me and I cantch it. Both side of coarse. That'
s super mid-section killer right there.>

[quote=buicken i tried loving my medicine ball, but the stuff it was filled with was abrasive, my pecker hurt, bad. i tried to roll off, the ball rolled with me, me and my unit were hospitalized for a few days.[/quote Yeah, I figured you of all trolls would be able to put your pecker into such a small hole... I bet it was still loose too...>
