Orginal Post: setsu nin to: Pectoral muscle exercise?

Iracious
I am still new to living healthy and working out - only started 6 months ago, before that I could not even do a chinup and was overweight. I have made incredible progress and am already very close to a sixpack (No problem with fat what so ever and my muscles are defining well)... but I digress. I have been doing specialized exercises for just about all the major muscles in my body, except for my pectorals. Is there anything that specifically targets them or do I not need to worry about them?

finally,i can be useful!

do these to isolate your chest, assuming you already do the big stuff like bench presses:

chest flyes
high or low pulley cable crossovers
dips,slightly leaning foward
pec deck machine

you can visit bodybuilding sites such as abcbodybuilding.com if you don't know how to do any of these

I wouldnt do a hard specialized program for more than 1 muscle at a time or you can overtrain just as if you would train each muscle more than twice a week i'de suggest training each muscle 1 time a week 4 day split monday/tuesday/thursday/friday split them up do chest/back monday biceps/legs tuesday and so on if your wanting to lose weight do low weight high reps do up to 15-20 reps with light weight now you cannot get great defined muscle or great abes without doing cardio so i'de suggest running/heavy bag training and so on for your chest i'de basically do Flat Bench Pec Deck or dumbbell chest flies your choice incline and or decline bench press

Thanks guys, just did some chest flies and instantly felt the burn on 'em so I know I am finally getting them worked out well.

I usually try to hit the 3 main areas of my pecs hard. On fridays, I usually do 5 sets incline dumbbell bench presses 8-10 reps, 5 sets flat dumbbell bench presses 8-10 reps, 5 sets decline dumbbell bench presses 8-10 reps
