Muay Thai Clinch for Self-Defense - Street Fighting Techniques

Muay Thai Clinch for Self-Defense - Street Fighting Techniques

You've seen the top MMA fighters use the Muay Thai clinch with DEVASTATING effect, but is it possible for you to use the same techniques in a street fight?

In this self defense video, Oz and I (Matt) will teach you how to utilise the Muay Thai clinch for self defense, which has to be one of the most effective street fighting techniques to remove any threat quickly and leave your attacker wondering what the hell just happened!

If you have ever seen Oz fight then you will know that he has a great Muay Thai clinch, and as he has showed time and time again, it is a great tool to have in your arsenal should a situation ever escalate out of control. Once you get it right then it puts any attacker in a really BAD situation, and he will soon be wishing that he stayed at home.

The first way to approach the clinch is from an ordinary striking position. You want to work the jab and find your range, and then when you feel comfortable enough throw a one-two combination and use your cross to find the back of your opponents head.

When you do this you are not looking to hit him, the only goal is to grab the back and pull him towards you.

Then in this position you should find it easy to bring your other hand around to the same place. No attacker is ready for this, and if done correctly it will be very EFFECTIVE.
