In this instructional demonstration video I show you how to do a Romanian Deadlift or RDL. This exercise is performed as part of a Hamstring and Lower Back training routine. The Romanian Deadlift or RDL is an excellent exercise for increasing hamstring and lower back strength and size. Primary Muscles: Lower Back, Hamstrings Secondary Muscles: Glutes, Quads Keep back straight, head up with shoulders back and tight. Grip barbell at shoulder width with either Overhand or Mixed grip. Keeping the legs fairly straight and the barbell close to your body, lower the weight to just below the knee until you feel the hamstrings activate. Return to the starting position to complete the rep.
